At least he had a hot daughter…

Why does this man look so scared? Because he just lost his job, duh!

In all seriousness though, you have to draw a line between what Carbo has done as a player and as a coach. The two should never be intertwined.

Looking back, and it’s not easy for me to look back ’cause it’s so sunny back there, he had it coming. I hated to say it ’cause I genuinely liked Guy Carbonneau – not in a “Hey there sexy, nice ears, what time do they open so I can pour my heart out?” kinda way but in a “Hey there dude, you were an amazing player back in the day and for that, you have my respect” kinda way – but he had to go.

When you repeatedly play Tom Kostopoulos on the powerplay, there’s something wrong. I don’t care how much heart GreekSleek has, but Alex Kovalev will always have a better chance to score a goal. Don’t get me wrong, I value Kostopoulos more than Kovalev as a player, because hard word is something you have to commit to, unlike talent which you’re born with, but Kovalev is that talented guy that you want on the ice with a minute left when you’re 2-1 down.

And if it wasn’t for Greg Stewart, Carbo would have ended his tenure on a loss, at least he finished his job here with a win against his former team.

He was a great player, but his man-management skills left a lot to be desired – Gainey having to intervene in the Kovy saga tells you that.

Douchebag of the day? Dave Morrisette on RDS, saying it’s “always sad to see a Quebecois coach get the sack”. How about any other coach, asshole? This is a guy who played a total of 11 NHL games and thinks the most important part in a game is the fight. Give me a break. Oh yeah, and I have the same amount of NHL career points as him.

Again, people might see this decision coming after a win as a bit ill-timed, but you have to look at the way the team’s been playing. 10 penalties in Dallas, 8 in Atlanta – something had to happen.

It’s sad but true, in professional sports, the coach is always the one that has to pay the price.

And oh yeah, enough about the next coach having to speak French. The next coach has to speak Hockey. I don’t care if he speaks English, French, both, Mandarin, Tagalog or all of the above, he has to speak hockey and be a good coach.

Thank you Carbo! Does anyone know how old his daughter is? Thanks. Bye.
