Avery’s pissing everyone off…
After last season’s antics, you’d think Sean Avery would tone it down just a bit…well just like your sexual orientation, YOU GOT IT WRONG! (I’ve been working on that joke for a week)
Avery and best friend Steve Ott did all they could to agitate and provoke the Boston Bruins at the Garden on Saturday, and there was no love lost ( I never understood that expression ) between both teams as Avery fought Andrew Ference, Hnidy ALMOST fought Ott (but Ott was scared) and Chris Barch and Shawn Thornton got acquainted as well.
And a 5 on 5 brawl ensued when Avery thought it would be a good idea to cheapshot Milan Lucic into the boards from behind, and that drew Marc Savard’s wrath as he just jumped on Avery and absolutely pummeled him, with all the other Bruins and Stars following. When you make Savard so angry that he has to fight, you know you did something bad.
Avery’s not the only one to blame here, Steve Ott also handed out his share of cheap shots around the rink.
Laraque and Mike Modano, who’s Avery’s teammate, had this to say about the whole incident.
Blablabla oui oui bonjour poutine quebec. Point is, the league really has to do something about this before someone gets hurt…or before I get involved!
