And then, his brother does his best to…commemorate the family:
Now, I have no problem with fighting. I believe more people go watch the games to see them than stay away because of them. But a line must be drawn. When players, in junior nonetheless, attack other players as viciously and as violently as the Roy brothers have done, a punishment more than just a couple of games ban has to be done.
I have no hidden agenda against the Roys, I think Papa Roy is the best goaltender to have ever played – based on my modest viewing experience. But he also had a bit of a violent side to him (see Chris Osgood/Mike Vernon). And I’m confident his sons are nice and all, but I’m pretty sure they have a serial killer side to them.
If any of the Roys see this, ’cause my army of followers has been expanding by the nano-second, please do not throw me any vicious beatings, dirty elbows, cross-checkings to the face or any other combination of harmful actions you might be tempted to undertake.
