Game-day Bonanza : Habs – Capitals
The post-Kovy era begins today. What do you guys think? Is the team a better unit without THE ARTISTE? Will Sergei be back soon? Will Carey Price ever make another save?
Let’s look at both teams:
Our year so far: After an orgasm start to the year, the team has been playing like the Manchester Monarchs since forever. Actually, the Monarchs would prbably win a game or two here and there. Hey, why do they have to confuse people? We all know they don’t play hockey in England. They worship the Queen and brush their teeth.
Their year so far: Caps are scary yo, they have this one guy called Ovechkin. He wants to score 100 goals this season, so Price better like using rubber ’cause he’ll see a lot of it tonight. HAHA! Condom reference, classic!
Good guy updates: As you all know by now, Kovy’s out. I don’t know if he’ll play another game for the Canadiens. There was a defensive duo change with Schneider expected to partnet Marky Mark and Polish Thunder with Hammer Time. Two defensive defensemen together and two offensive defensemen together. Hm, what do I know? I’m not the coach. Hopefully Schneider will be able to produce on the power-play, but asking a 39 year old to carry the team is a bit steep. Yo, what the fuck is up with Steve Begin sitting every game? The guy never takes a shift off. Get your head out of your ass and sit Higgins, Guy! Stewart and Chips Ahoy are back.
Enemy updates: Ovechkin, Ovechkin, Ovechkin.
Soft spot for the enemy: You gotta love King Alex. Best player in the league, no doubt about it! He hits, shoots whenever there’s a hole, skates, scores. Ovechkin just wants to win.
Who will probably score for us: KOVY! Oh wait…
Who will probably score on us: Jose Theodore. HAHA! YOU SUCK JOSE! YOU SUCK ‘CAUSE YOU’RE GONA SHUT US OUT AGAIN!
Who will definitely not score for us: TurtlePleks will stay in this category until he breaks out for a hattrick.
Who will definitely not score on us: Nylander! He’s old now.
Get well soon: Robert Lang, Guillaume Latendresse, Alex Tanguay, Alex Kovalev?
Prediction: I’m no longer making predicitions until we win 3-4 games in a row. I will predict a powerplay goal and 37 shots from Ovechkin though. I don’t necessarily want a win, although it would be titerrific. I just want them to play hard.
