Game-day Bonanza : Habs – Ducks

Emilio Estevez and the Anaheim Mighty Fucks make the trip up north to play us tonight. Coming off wins against the Leafs and the Sens, Anaheim will try to make it 3 out of 3 against Eastern Conference teams when they hit the ice at 7 o’clock.

Let’s look at both teams:
Our year so far: The amazing Habs have a nearly perfect record so far in this centennial year. Barring an opening-day loss against Ryan Miller, the Canadiens have won every single game since, including a shootout victory against Boston. 11 out of a possible 12 points so far has the spirits high at the Bell Centre.

Their year so far: The Ducks have gotten off to a less than stellar start. They sit pretty in last place in the Western Conference, behind such perennial power-houses like the Kings of L.A and the B.J’s from Columbus.

Good guy updates: Andrei Kostitsyn will not play, as he is still recovering from that hit from Kurt Sauer. Good news though, he was back on the ice this morning and was clearly seen at Carlos and Pepe’s ordering a bowl of Cheerios. It’ll take him some time to gain control of his brain functions. Chris Higgins is expected to play, but what’s new? Pricey is still not 100% after contracting the Ebola virus Flu so the Terminator is in nets. Mathieu Dandenault (why!?!??!) and Ryan O’byrne (why not earlier!?!??!) are the healthy scratches. Montreal is tied with San Jose for the fewest goals conceded in the league. (11)

Enemy updates: Jonas Hiller had a solid outing through 2 periods yesterday against the Sens, but let in 3 goals in the last 20 minutes. I don’t know why I mentioned that though, ‘casue Giguere is probably starting tonight. Brian Sutherby is the Ducks’ leading point-getter, with 4 from 6 games.

Soft spot for the enemy: Niedermayer. No, not you Scott. Rob. He never recovered from the concussions he suffered. Shame man, shame.

Who will probably score for us: Georges Laraque will get his first of 2 goals this season.

Who will probably score on us: George Parros, because he reminds me of Hercules.

Who will definitely not score for us: Kovy.

Who will definitely not score on us:Ryan Getzlaf…fag.

Prediction: With 2 wins on the trot, the Ducks will want to pick up their 4th victory of the season against the Canadiens. But our boys don’t take lightly to birds coming to our arena and shittong all over the ice, so I predict a 4-2 victory!
