Game-day Bonanza : Habs – Flames

There’s a time when teams have to stick together and ignore all the outside storms, I think this is that time for the Habs. I think this long road-trip is, strangely enough, good for the team. Playing at the Bell Centre won’t exactly bring usfortunes and virgins right now, so in a way, the more adversity the better.

Let’s look at both teams:
Our year so far: Ok, despite all the shit that has happened, we’re still in a decent position. I hate to sound like an idiot, but Boston is good. (I know, I know But it’s true). So catching Boston is out of the question…for now.

Their year so far: They’re 3rd in the West but are losers of their last 4. I like games at the Saddledome. It’s not so much the occasional horse sighting, more so the fans all dressed in red.

Good guy updates: Halak’s getting the nod tonight, I promise. Unless he falls sick again. Those Eastern Europeans loooove their flu.

Enemy updates: Iginla has 58 points and Cammalleri has 27 goals. Wayne Primeau is doubtful. It’ll probably be Kiprusoff in nets, ’cause Mcelhinney only plays lke, 17 minutes a year.

Soft spot for the enemy: Todd Bertuzzi. Poor guy never saw Steve Moore coming.

Who will probably score for us: Max Lapierre’s got 3 points in his last 3. So does Sergei. But Robert Lang will score tonight. OH NO I FORGOT! HE DECIDED TO SEVER HIS ACHILLES TENDON!

Who will probably score on us: Michael Cammalleri. HE’S HOT!

Who will definitely not score for us: TurtlePleks will stay in this category until he breaks out for a hattrick.

Who will definitely not score on us: Jarome Iginla. By this time tomorrow, I have a feeling I will greatly regret saying that.

Get well soon: Robert Lang, Guillaume Latendresse, Alex Tanguay

Prediction: I’m no longer making predicitions until we win 3-4 games in a row. I will predict a horse sighting and a Tim McGraw dress rehearsal though.
