Game-day Bonanza : Habs – Kings
Time to break out the inspirational speech, Carbo.
Let’s look at both teams:
Our year so far: 4 losses in a row. Carey’s pissed, so that’s good. I don’t understand people going “Oh he shouldn’t have shown his emotions on national television!”. What!?!?! Do you want him to be ok with a mediocre performance? He cares. It’ll be a very doubtful crowd at the Bell Centre tonight. Gretzky doesn’t play for them anymore, so that’s good.
Their year so far: I fucken hate playing teams in a dogfight for the playoffs. They’re 6 pts out of 8th. Winners of 3 in a row. I wonder what that feels like…winning.
Good guy updates: New lines…49th game into the season. Hey, I’m not the coach, what do I know! According to HabsInsideOut, the lines are: Lang with Kovalev, Sergei K/Begin (I guess he’s hoping 4 players are better than 3), Captain Hook centres Pacioretty and D’Agostini, Lapierre is sandwiched by Higgins and Greek Sleek and last but CERTAINLY not least, TurtlePleks with Tender Gender and Dirty Harry.
Enemy updates: Ummmm…Anze Kopitar…
Soft spot for the enemy: Jonathan Quick, one of their goaltenders. With a name like that, he better not be slow! Haha I’m genius! Watch out for Drew Doughty too. Excellent defenseman.
Who will probably score for us: I don’t care if Carey scores, I just want a win.
Who will probably score on us: Dustin Brown! Man these family names are funny.
Who will definitely not score for us: TurtlePleks will stay in this category until he breaks out for a hattrick.
