Game-day bonanza : Habs – Panthers (No Kostitsyn, No Iceman, No Yale, No Ribeiro)

Haha, did you guys notice the Ribeiro part in there? Ees funny cos hee no play here anymo.

Anyways, the Panthers are the guests at the Bell Centre tonight. They have made the long trip from Florida to play some hockey. A surprising fact is that the Habs haven’t beaten the team from the sunny state in their last 3 attempts at the Bell Centre.

Let’s look at both teams:
Our year so far: The amazing Habs have a nearly perfect record so far in this centennial year. After losing a shootout against the Sabres from Buffalo, we’ve had a perfect season thanks to victories over Toronto, Philly, Baw-ston and da Dogs.

Their year so far: The Panthers have a one win-one loss thing going on right now. After losing to the Raleigh Hurricanes in their season opener, they beat the Ilya Kovalchuks, and then lost to the Wild and then shut out the Isles.

Good guy updates: After spending 7.5 hours in Hamilton, Kyle Chipchura has been called back up to help strengthen a depleted squad hurting from the loss of the Iceman (Groin), Higgins (unliked by Carbooneau) and A. Kostitsyn (head flew off). Ok, so try to keep up with my super-high-awesome intelligence. Begin MIGHT play, and if he does, he’ll fill in with Robert ‘Movie-star’ Lang and Tom ‘Greek sleek’ Kostopoulos, because Dirty Harry (aka Sergei Kostitsyn- seriously, keep up with the nicknames) will fill his big brother’s spot on the 1st line with Awesome and Tomas ‘The season hasn’t started for me yet’ Plekanec. If Begin doesn’t play, because he has the damn flu, then Bouillon (who is ready to return apparently) might play as a forward on the fourth line. I’m really not too sure how it’s all gona work out. But…oh yeah, Brisebois won’t play if Bouillon plays. I need a valium. And another thing, Jaroslav ‘The Terminator’ Halak will be in nets.

Enemy updates: I don’t know. Vokoun is in nets? I really don’t know. But Vokoun always plays well against us. They’ve also got 4 guys on 4 pts (Booth, Horton, Weiss & Ballard)

Soft spot for the enemy: Richard Zednik. I love that guy man!

Who will probably score for us: Sergei Kostitsyn is mad. As mad as DeNiro when they took out his son in that movie. You don’t want Sergei mad!

Who will probably score on us: Cory Stillman, because he survived the Gang bang of playing in Ottawa with Jason ‘I’m really into Dany’ Spezza and Dany ‘I’m really into Jason’ Heatley. Zednik will get a goal too.

Who will definitely not score for us: Mike Ribeiro.

Who will definitely not score on us:Richard Zednik…I hope.

Prediction: The Panthers have been the Habs’ “bete noire” lately at the Bell Centre. But I never bet against this team winning, so with a depleted but still fully capable line-up, expect our boys to come out with a really tough 2-1 victory. Mike Ribeiro to be the first star.
