Game-day Bonanza : Habs - Rangers
The last time we played the Rangers, a little 5 goal comeback was on the cards. The last time we played the Rangers, Alex Kovalev was leading the team in scoring and the league in powerplay points. The last time we played the Rangers, I had just tried out the new David Archuleta C.D.
Let’s look at both teams:
Our year so far: Apart from 59 seconds from hell, the team played a much better all-around game last time out against the Thrashers. All 4 lines did well and hopefully, with some momentum, this is a sign of good things to come.
Their year so far: After playing the last team in the East on Tuesday, tonight we play the best (statistically). Rangers lead the conference with 38 points from 28 games.
Good guy updates: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Right? Carbo agrees. Same lines. Price in nets. Sergei and Tender and Gender will once again have to play sudoku while watching the game from the press-box.
Enemy updates: After being acquired from the Columbus B.J’s this past off-season, Zherdev is leading his new team in scoring with 24 points in 28 games. Lundqvist is good too.
Soft spot for the enemy: The statue of Liberty? I don’t know…
Who will probably score for us: Andrei Kostitsyn is on a hot streak right now. So yeah, logically I should say him. But I have a feeling Steve Begin will have a breakout night of 3 goals and 5 assists.
Who will probably score on us: Dubsinky. That oversized cunt.
Who will definitely not score for us: Guillaume Latendresse will have a tough time scoring from the pressbox. I believe the last person to attempt such a feat was Marcel Hossa. AND WHERE’S HOSSA NOW!?
Who will definitely not score on us: Fredrik Sjostrom. How the fuck is anyone supposed to pronounce that?
Prediction: Rangers will be tough, they always are. Gotta skate hard and make things simple. Habs to come out on top. 4-2.

You make fun of Sjostrom (Shoe-strum) while you have two guys named Kostitsyn and another named Koivu. Yeah.
Let’s Go Rangers.
I don’t know how anyone can have trouble pronouncing Koivu unless they’re dyslexic or something.
Besides, I make fun of anyone and everyone who doesn’t wear a turtle-neck and sport a goatee.
