Game-day Bonanza : Habs – Sabres
The surging Montreal Canadiens -who are coming off wins against San Jose, Detroit, Boston and the N.Y Rangers – host the Buffalo Sabres tonight at the Bell Centre in what should be a straightforward game for the Habs.
Man, don’t you wish that was reality?
Let’s look at both teams:
Our year so far: fuck it
Their year so far: Buffalo sit 9th in the East, but are coming into this game after wins against Boston and Pittsburgh.
Good guy updates: According to HabsInsideOut, both Kostitsyns start on the 4th line with Lapierre. GOOD! D’Agostini plays with Koivu and Higgins. GOOD! Begin with Plekanec and Kostotopoulos…ok-ay. Tanguay and Laraque aren’t good to go. Price is in nets.
Enemy updates: Tomas Vanek leafs his team with 15 goals and 21 points. Jason Pominville and Derek Roy with 18 and 16 respectively.
Soft spot for the enemy: Ryan Miller. Possibly the most underrated goaltender in the East.
Who will probably score for us: Nobody. Hopefully D’Agostini bags one!
Who will probably score on us: Roy or Pominville.
Who will definitely not score for us: Everybody.
Who will definitely not score on us: Maxim Afinogenov. What happened to that guy anyway? He like, sucks now.
Prediction: Carbo’s shaking up the lines, and we’ll see if it pays off. Habs to squeak this one – 3-2.
