Man, this really sucks
Hey, what can you do? We lost. DUH!
Yeah, you can scroll down to all the stuff I was saying about this Habs team being able to knock out this Bruins team. And yes, if the series restarted tomorrow, I would once again bet on the Habs prevailing. There’s a funny thing that happens when you become a die-hard fan of a team.
Yes, the Bruins have a good defense, a great attack and a better than average goalie, but they’re not the all-conquering ass-kicking world force people are making them out to be.
When you get that many injuries and no-shows, you’re asking for trouble. And that’s what happened. That, and we faced a well-coached, well-balanced team that had 100 times more confidence in their abilities than we did. But again, if our scorers had showed up, our D played a better game and our goaltender made the saves he had to, we could have pushed this series. Did you not see the second to last game of the season along with games 1 and 3?
I think one quote perfectly sums up what was wrong with the team this season. When Tomas Plekanec was asked about being called up by the Czech Republic, he said he “was surprised and didn’t know what he could offer the team”. PLEKS! YOU’RE IN THE NHL! DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY GUYS TRY AND FAIL!? YOU’VE GOT AN EDGE, BUDDY!
There’s so much I want to say, but I’ll get to the stuff that really grinds my gears.
Stop hating on Carey Price. The kid is 21 years old, and I saw that Roy gesture coming. The crowd was getting on his back and it was like a soda can waiting to burst. If he doesn’t stick up for himself, who will?
Yeah, he let in his fair share of weak goals during the season but not one of the 4 goals on Wednesday night was his fault. And Saku said it best: “”This kid is going to win a Stanley Cup one day and hopefully I’ll be with him when that happens”.
Mike Komisarek is not a fighter, but at least he showed up. I still hate Lucic but all the people criticizing Komo for losing the fight don’t have a clue. He showed up and that’s what matters. Have we seen Komo’s last game in a Habs uniform? More to come on that…
It was good to see Glen Metropolit skate his hardest on every single shift he was on the ice for, even when we were trailing.
Best part of the game? Tom Kostpoulos having the word “Believe” on his stick. Sign him, Bob!
If Markov isn’t the most valuabe player n the NHL, I don’t know who is. After the sexy Russian went down, your Montreal Canadiens didn’t win one game.
Again, I had a feeling game 4 would be the hardest one for us. The team gave it their all and unrealistic expectations and injuries just took their toll.
I’m glad the team saluted the crowd at the end. I know it’s tradition, but the real fans are the ones who stayed on till the end. The bandwagoners left after the second. Booing a 21-22 year old player does nothing to his development, beleve it or not.
That’s the way the cookie crumbles. You win some, you lose some. And god knows the Boston Bruins were due one.
Oh yeah, one more thing: FUCK YOU, MICHAEL RYDER!
