P.K more than just a Penalty Killer
Yes, Jordan Eberle might have scored 2 goals and posess the same rugged good looks that previous NHLers such as Pierre Dagenais and Jim Dowd were fortunate enough to be blessed with. Yes, John Tavares might be considered by many as the leading candidate to be picked at the number 1 spot for the next Entry draft. Yes, Pat Quinn is very envied by the hockey world for the fact that he can most probably eat Cheerios off his belly. But for me, the most impressive player for Canada yesterday was Angelo Esposito.
HAHA! I’M KIDDING! In all seriousness, P.K Subban played well beyond his years. A point-shot which rarely misses the target, skating which can catch up with the Midnight Express and positioning which the statue of liberty is surely jealous of, Subban has enjoyed a very sucessfull tournament so far and has continued to improve game after game.
His presence on the powerplay is that of a seasoned veteran and it shows as Quinn has used Subban at this year’s tournament at every opportunity he could.
Be happy, Habs fans, boy’s ours.
But not in a creepy “I WANT THE BOY!” or in an equally eerie “GET DOWN ON ALL FOURS BOY!” way, but in a “HEY! THIS GUY CAN DEFINITELY HELP US OUT IN THE FUTURE!” kind of way.
