Stubbs and Hickey fight to the death
Ok, maybe not to the death. But the two Gazette journalists went toe-to-toe (say that 5 times really fast) in previewing the upcoming Montreal Canadiens NHL season…
- Stubbs says:
>The Habs have to act now, as no less than 10 players will be up for free agency next July 1st.
>Hamilton is stocked with talent (Pac, D’ag, P.K, Desjardins, Max, Web, Denis)
>Price has to step up, and not have a meltdown like he did against the Flyers
>Kovy has to prove last year wasn’t a fluke
- Hickey says:
>Laraque will be more important this season than Tanguay or Lang
>Lang, Tanguay and Laraque will mesh well with an already talented team
>The Canadiens will probably not finish 1st in the East, but they will have home-ice advantage come playoff time
They should have a mud-fight, now THAT’LL be interesting
