The day we dominated a game! : Habs 3-2 Lightning

Seriously, I don’t know what to make of the “New” Habs.

19 shots against? 36 shots for, not including 20 that missed and 34 that were blocked by players? That’s…THAT’S ALMOST 100 CHANCES!

The game last night eerily resembled ‘that’ game that we lost in Tampa 2 months ago. Badly outshooting them, failing to convert on our chances, and then them coming back and almost stealing it.

Gladly for Habs fans and my cholesterol, that wasn’t the case. (I don’t actually have high Cholesterol)

Saku, for the 2nd time in 2 weeks, got a very important OT winner – and man did it feel good. I’ve never seen a little man jump so high.

Andrei Markov is a fucken allstar, how many times do I have to say it? The man from Russia (my researching powers are immaculate) added 2 points to his season tally last night, and man does he know how to play hockey. He sees the game almost a second ahead of everyone else, and that’s the mark of a great player…that and a fishnet tshirt during the summer months.

The powerplay was clicking again, and had it not been for Karri Ramo playing like a mix of a Cheetah and Jacques Plante, we would have gotten more than one goal with the man advantage.

Tanguay can see a pass through a needle. Tender Gender scored a sick goal and made everyone at the Bell Centre rejoice when he laid out Evgeni Arthyukin. Maxim Lapierre is playing the best hockey of his life right now.

Best part of the game? Arthyukin going to hit Komo but Polish Thunder getting out of the way just in time so that sorry excuse of a human being/transformer hits the boards and hurts himself.

Chris Higgins has found his niche, and don’t fuck with Yale, keep him there.

Florida won and New York lost, so we’re still in a bit of a dilemma. But for now, go out and watch Knowing with Nick Cage. It’s a movie about what would happen if the Habs won the Stanley Cup.
