The Day We Were charged with Robbery : Habs 4-2 Avalanche
PRAISE JARO! PRAISE JARO! PRAAAISE THE TERMINATOR!
We needed a goaltender to play and not be dead in nets, and we got just that. The Terminator did more than just play, he stole the game from the Snowfall. The last time we won in Denver was in 1982. Halak was -3 years old and made 26 saves for the win! That’s CRAAAZY!
It was a battle of the Slovak netminders, and for once, we got the better end of the deal on the night.
When was the last time we scored the first goal of the game? Calgary? Ok but still, that wasn’t really a game. It was more like a team playing hockey and another team attempting to do synchronised swimming.
Bouillon is a monster and he deserved that goal, and it was good to see the Breeze take care of Tucker. It was also refreshing to see that Tucker is still a cunt, but hey, some things never change, RIGHT MIKE RIBEIRO?
I liked the start of the game. We kept the pressure in their zone, took shots on net, forechecked. It was good to see that rather than the “Ok, just give me 5 minutes and I’ll find a passing lane that’s open so we can execute the perfect play”. That bullshit’s getting old.
Sometimes you just have to get lucky and work hard, and that’s what they did last night…almost. Colorado still applied way too much pressure and if Halak hadn’t stolen the game for us, well, we would have lost.
Oh yeah, WHY THE FUCK WOULD ANYONE WANT TO TRADE MATHIEU DANDENAULT!? Guy has Begin’s grit, D’Agostini’s speed, and he can aactually score. Did you see that pass to Andrei for the winning goal? THAT SHIT WAS ALMOST AS RIDICULOUS AS A POLITICAL CONVENTION IN GAZA!
It was a good two points to get, but if we play like that in Vancouver, I feel the outcome might be very different, high altitude or not.
