“The fucken worst time” – Carey Price

That’s what he said after last night’s loss, to see the video I’m talking about scoot over to the good folks over at FourHabsFans, whose website is like having dreams about your best friend’s 18 year old sister – YOU KNOW IT’S NOT HEALTHY, BUT DAYUM YOU DON’T WANA BE HEALTHY!
What the Florida Panthers showed last night was a clinic of how to play disciplined, fast, hard-skating hockey. Like, it was just sad after a while.
Yeah, at one point they gave us hope. But those bastards TOOK IT AWAY RIGHT AFTER! Richard Zednik decides he’s fucken Bobby Orr and scores a goal while falling. You gotta give it to the guy though. He’s like that guy that gets injured a lot in Unbreakable – was that the movie? That Bruce Willis one. I mean, Zednik’s gotten laid out to the point of a concussion before, Olli Jokinen tried to amputate his head last year… he deserves a nice goal. I do want to lay out some Nutella over his wife’s body including her feet and toenails, but that’s another story.
Carey got little to no help from his D, not that he looked particularly impressive on the penalty shot (two penalty shots in two games in a row – has that ever happened before?), but the guy needs some help guys!
Jay Bouwmeester is the fucken man though! He was obviously charged with marking Kovy all night long (not in a “Hey Baby, I’m gona take my permanent marker and draw waypoints from your eyebrows all the way to your bellybutton” kind of way, but in a “I’M BIG! YOU WON’T SCORE ON MY GOALIE, YOU SHIT!” kind of way)
Other than that, it was a fucken depressing loss. I ate some pistachios and had Heineken after, and I still wasn’t happy. Here’s to beating the Kings tomorrow to salvage any sort of pride we may have left.
