TREE MILLION DOLLAH!

That was the price the composer of the old “Hockey Night in Canada” song wanted from CBC. And as we now all know, they wouldn’t cough it up. But really, do you blame them? Scott Moore, Executive Director of CBC TV Sports, revealed the ridiculous amount in a chat with P.J Stock on ‘The Stock Exchange’ today.

Seriously, 3 million dollars! For what? Like, a 45 second jingle? Good god! What has the world come to? The best rapper is white, the highest paid actor is Johnny Depp, and some T.V channels still air ‘Everybody loves Raymond’.

Oy, anyways, in their quest for a new hockey anthem, CBC has set up a contest for the average joe to submit their jingle entry, and if chosen, not only does their song get played everytime ‘Hockey Night in Canada’ is on, but they get a check for a cool 100 THOUSAND DOLLAHS! And two local Montrealers made it to the semi-finals, so click ON THAT LINK DOWN THERE! JUST LOOK DOWN AND IT SHOULD BE THERE! VOTE VOTE VOTE!
