WAIVE WAIVE WAIVE
I like Caps. They get the message across, and the message today is this: nothing dramatic, but Marc Denis and Alex Henry were waived by the Montreal Canadiens. They will go the team’s AHL affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs, when/if if they go unclaimed.
Denis seems to understand the role he came here to play, and I like a guy who’s not kidding himself. Alex Henry fought more than a Bruce Lee movie this preseason, and that seems to have caught up with him as he’s been nursing a back injury lately. I believe Denis will see action sometime this season, seeing how Price and Halak have a combined age that’s only one year less than Dominik Hasek (I love useless facts). Denis, Valentenko, D’agostini, Stewart, Pacioretty, Weber, Desjardins, Carle…should be an interesting year down in Hamilton.
